In the third quarter of 2025, the top communication apps on Android in Brazil demonstrated varied performance trends according to data from Sensor Tower.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a robust presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 393K and 511K. Despite a minor dip in weekly active users mid-quarter, numbers remained strong, peaking at approximately 125.9M. Revenue saw a late-quarter increase, reaching a modest $24 in mid-September.

The business-focused WhatsApp Business showed consistent weekly revenue growth, peaking at around $45K by the end of September. Downloads ranged from 273K to 324K weekly, while active users steadily increased, nearing 47.3M by quarter-end.

Telegram displayed steady revenue growth, with weekly figures reaching about $35K. Download numbers showed a slight increase mid-quarter, peaking at 258K, although active users saw a gradual decline, closing the quarter at roughly 32.5M.

Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out experienced a revenue peak at $50K in early August. Weekly downloads ranged from 112K to 142K, while active users remained relatively stable around 7.6M.

Lastly, Messenger from Meta Platforms saw modest revenue, peaking at $182. Downloads showed variability, peaking at 141K in late July, and active users demonstrated a slight upward trend, reaching approximately 28.4M by the end of September.
